Today has been a good day.
I woke up and weighed in this morning only to discover that I outdid myself from yesterday's impressive 5 pound loss, and today can proudly announce that my efforts have netted me an additional 6 pounds (11 total if you needed help)!!
That is fuel right there. To be able to say that on the morning of my 3rd day that I've taken off 15.7% of my total goal is great. Now that being said, I know that I'm not losing very much fat yet, but it still counts towards the goal. A little wind in my said will help keep me going, certainly.
The rest of today has been good. I've felt hungrier than I remember being yesterday, and being at work today is rough since I snack quite a bit in the office normally. I went through my normal regimen of juice before 2pm, so I've got to tough it out to get home and make some more. But today, I am up for the challenge.
Headaches have not been as bad today as Sunday and Monday were. I started to feel a small one come on early in the day, but am good now. 1 Tylenol did the trick and it hasn't come back. I can definitely feel my body changing though... My stomach is sometimes pulling pretty good, and my mind wants carbs, protein, and dairy. But I'll be okay. I'm pressing through- pushing forward.
I have noticed increased levels of focus and energy today as well, which has been nice. I've been very productive at work, and managed to create this blog as well. I've been keeping in the word and praying more than normal, which has been nice. I always feel encouraged when I pray. It adds resolve to me in some way as well. Sunday I spent some time playing guitar and working on a worship song that I'm writing- a good project to accompany a fast. Looking forward to continuing this. Maybe I'll work on it tonight.
I am beginning to realize what a chore juicing is going to be over these 2 months. I spend on average a little over an hour gathering fruit and veggies, preparing them, juicing them and then cleaning the juicer in between individual juicings. The ritual goes like this: every 1-2 24oz containers filled, and the machine has to be cleaned or the pulp clogs it up. I'll post some of my juicing recipes soon.
Can't wait for the stomach cramps to go away... And the dizziness / faintness too. I'm told the first 10 days is the worst while the body is going through shifts in enzyme production. After that, it shouldn't be nearly the push that it is now.
Until tomorrow...
We watched the documentary last night that inspired you. Wow! I can see why. Hang in there. To lose 11 pounds in 3 days is crazy. Just think what you'll lose in 60 at this rate!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping! Thank you guys for watching the movie- it's very encouraging to have such avid support. I appreciate you standing with me in this venture. BTW- I'm now up to 13.5lbs lost! Almost 20% of my total goal!!!
